I actually goofed when buying the ingredients for this but it turned out
good anyway.
The original recipe is:
6-8 cups chicken broth
3-4 cups cooked chicken
8 oz bean sprouts
Rice stick noodles
1 bunch Thai basil, chopped
Hoisin sauce for serving
Lime slices for serving
Add stock and chicken to 3.5-6 oz crock pot. Cover and cook on LOW 6-7 hours
or HIGH 2-3 hours.
Add bean sprouts, noodles, and Thai basil. Cook until noodles are softened.
Serve with Hoisin sauce and lime slices.
I was at the store after work this morning. I didn't have the list with me.
I got a Napa cabbage instead of Thai basil and forgot the lime slices.
Fuhgeddaboutit! It was good anyway. An extremely mild soup, nice for when
you're under the weather.
Has anyone noticed how damn expensive CHICKEN is lately??? Insane!
good anyway.

Could TweeterFeeder Drive UtterliFeeder Site?
I'm using the TweeterGetter too and I also use MrTweet. http://mrtweet.net/…ilystrange I have over 800 followers on Twitter, and not that they're shallow people but I think the limited posting space allowed by Twitter tends to necessitate a more "quick and dirty" kind of post. I agree with your assessment. Utterli allows people to be more involved. It would be interesting if someone could come up with an Utterli follower application. It won't be me, though! I'm not adept at creating such things.

I'd been doing just sentences and paragraphs on Utterli but think I'll do full chapters instead. As Mehitibel would say, Ohwhatthehell.

What is a Curmudgeon anyway?
A curmudgeon's reputation for malevolence is undeserved. They're
neither warped nor evil at heart. They don't hate mankind, just mankind's
absurdities. They're just as sensitive and soft-hearted as the next guy, but
they hide their vulnerability beneath a crust of misanthropy. They ease the
pain by turning hurt into humor. . . . . . They attack maudlinism because
it devalues genuine sentiment. . . . . . Nature, having failed to equip
them with a servicable denial mechanism, has endowed them with astute
perception and sly wit.
Curmudgeons are mockers and debunkers whose bitterness is a symptom
rather than a disease. They can't compromise their standards and can't
manage the suspension of disbelief necessary for feigned cheerfulness. Their
awareness is a curse.
Perhaps curmudgeons have gotten a bad rap in the same way that the
messenger is blamed for the message: They have the temerity to comment on
the human condition without apology. They not only refuse to applaud
mediocrity, they howl it down with morose glee. Their versions of the truth
unsettle us, and we hold it against them, even though they soften it with
humor.

this is disgraceful. If the CEO's of the major auto mfgs had to dump their
jets so should Pelosi. she should be allowed a certain amount travel
allowance, if she wants to spend the extra for her own comfort she can, but
not the taxpayers.
Remember the big flap about Sarah Palin's dresses?
Americans! Where are you? Are you awake? We haven't heard any
comment on
"Queen Madam" Pelosi's snit about having to ride home in the small
private,
economy jet that comes with the Speaker's job. Remember how Madame
Pelosi
was so aggravated that this little jet had to refuel while
transporting her
to California *every*week? Remember that she insisted on a luxurious
200
seat jet to fly her to California nonstop, instead?
Hello Folks! Are you awake? Can't you muster even a little
indignation?
Washington legislators who observed the Madam's Big Fat jet grinned
with
glee as Joe Biden informed everyone that Nancy's luxury Jet will
require
hard working American tax payers, to buy thousands of gallons of
expensive
jet fuel every week. She only works 3 days a week but her gas guzzler
luxury
jet flights home, to California , costs t axpayers $60,000 one way!
As Joe
noted, 'Unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday
night,' so
there goes another $60,000.
Folks, that is $480,000 per month or an annual cost to taxpayers of
$5,760,000. And she complains about the cost of the war? She could
take
the smaller jet which she says would cramp her style
